Design and Comfort
The phonicgrid SE7 Wireless Headphones have an over-ear, closed-back design with plush, protein leather earpads and an adjustable headband that provides a secure but comfortable fit. The matte black finish gives the headphones a sleek, modern look. At 1.1 pounds, the phonicgrid SE7 Wireless Headphones are relatively lightweight for over-ear wireless headphones. The foldable design makes them easy to transport or store.
With their large aperture drivers and Bluetooth 5.2 connectivity, the sound quality of the phonicgrid SE7 Wireless Headphones is truly impressive. The 40mm drivers deliver highly detailed sound across the frequency spectrum - crisp highs, full mids, and deep punchy bass. The soundstage has great depth and immersiveness. Listening feels natural as if not wearing headphones at all. Whether hip hop, classical, podcasts or movies, the phonicgrid SE7 Wireless Headphones handle all audio superbly.
For calls and voice, the phonicgrid SE7 Wireless Headphones come equipped with built-in microphones that utilize ENC technology. During my tests, call partners reported my voice sounded very clear with minimal background noise. The noise cancellation certainly helps eliminate ambient interference. Voices sound natural without distortion. Overall excellent microphone performance for the price.
Utilizing hybrid noise cancelling with feedforward and feedback mics, the phonicgrid SE7 Wireless Headphones deliver very impressive noise reduction. They block out low rumbles like engines effectively, making them great for travel. Higher frequencies are minimized as well so you can immerse in your audio. The ANC won’t be as strong as premium brands, but it punches far above its weight class.
Phonicgrid claims 30 hours of constant playback on these phonicgrid SE7 Wireless Headphones, which matched up with my experience. I used them for several hours daily without needing to recharge frequently. I’d estimate around 5 days of moderate usage per charge. Quick charging via USB-C helps optimize battery time as well.
The phonicgrid SE7 Wireless Headphones connect wirelessly via Bluetooth 5.2 up to about 30 feet from your device. I did not experience any major connectivity drops - just the occasional blip if my phone was in another room. Pairing to new devices takes seconds. You can also use them wired with the included 3.5mm audio cable when battery is low.
On the right earcup, intuitive buttons let you control volume, playback, calls, noise cancellation, and power. The raised buttons are easy to distinguish by touch. Press and hold to power on/off. Single and double presses handle music and call functions. Very seamless controls.
Phonicgrid does not specify any water resistance rating for the phonicgrid SE7 Wireless Headphones. I would not recommend getting them wet or exposing them to moisture. Sweat resistance has not been mentioned either. Assume basic weather resistance only.
The phonicgrid SE7 Wireless Headphones are ideal for people who want an immersive listening experience on the go. Their premium noise cancellation makes them perfect for blocking out distractions in loud environments like trains, planes, and offices. Their wireless connectivity and long battery life allow you to keep listening all day long whether commuting, traveling, or working. The comfortable design also makes them great for extended wear. For critical listening like mixing audio or monitoring recordings, their high-fidelity drivers reproduce sound with exceptional accuracy.
